Welcome to the 2022 Literary Contest!

If you are a Wake County student in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, you may enter one original short story.

Your first step is to select your school from the list of "Forms" below these instructions. If your school is not listed, select "SCHOOL NOT LISTED."

YOUR STORY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF YOUR NAME, YOUR TEACHER'S NAME, OR YOUR SCHOOL'S NAME APPEARS ANYWHERE ON THE FILE NAME, UNDER THE TITLE, OR IN THE STORY!

Please  fill out the entry form completely, paying careful attention to the instructions about preparing your manuscript. Make sure that nothing in your manuscript, including the cover sheet, header/footer and story itself identifies you, your teacher, or your school.  The entry form provides that information. If we find it on your manuscript, we must disqualify you. If you need to stop and come back to the form, just hit "save draft" and complete your entry later. 

Remember to let your teacher know that you are submitting a story. Your teacher will receive an email with a link to the story so that he or she can read and review the story. 

You have until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022 to complete your on-line entry. Your teacher needs to review and approve your story by 8:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022.
